I have had this RARE 1948 Chevy 1/2 ton 5 Window pick up truck with the 216 6 cyl 4 speed on the floor in my personal collection since 1971. I bought this truck here in Iowa from the trucks original family. The interior piant on the dash and inside doors are original paint and they show great. The guages and glass are all good and the glass in the doors windhshield etc are good. I had it painted 4 years ago and kept it the original green color. I only had it repainted as the original paint was dull (but rust free) and I wanted it to take to shows and really make heads turn with a great paint job. This truck also has the era correct fulton visor! The seat is in great condition and the floors are solid. I elected to keep the original wood in the box. The chrome is orginal and shows great. I have only trailered this truck to car shows the last four years and drove it 30-50 miles at a time for a cruise with my local car club. It always wins trophies and gets lots of smiles. The tires are good and the engine, trans, brakes, etc all work like they should. This is a truck, that you will be very proud of day 1. I converted the truck to a 12 volt system and all of the lights, guages, radio, etc work. This is a truck you can win and start to enjoy right away. I have set my reserve well below what they have been doing at auction to ensure a sale, Only bid if you are seriosu about buying it. This truck comes with a clean Iowa title matching the vin plate ready for you to register. All of the dash magnets, plates, plate toppers, swamp cooler are part of my personal collection and do not go with the sale.
