This is one of the handful of rare Lincoln Continental turbo diesels that were made in 1984 with the bmw m21 engine. This car is 99% rust free because it has been kept out of the weather and the chrome trim is still very clean for its age. The interior is in okay condition but the driver seat is worn. the engine sounds great and the transmission still shifts just like it should. I had the shop put straight pipes on with chrome tips to let it breathe and give it some extra acceleration from a dead stop, which did help alot. I also recently had the ac repaired and all of It's seals replaced. It does have some problems. Luck would have it that the electronic dash which displays odometer, speed, and fuel went out the other day while I was changing the battery. It was the fuse that blew and once I replaced the fuse everything else on that fuse came back on except for the dash. The injector pump seals need replaced, the pressure line that effects powersteering and breaks needs replaced , and the belt for the alternator needs to be a size smaller than what the shop put on. Also it does not currently have radio in it. Its it does have wiring ran for aftermarket stereo. If you are a Lincoln fan that would like one no one else has, or a diesel junkie that would like to drive an American sedan with diesel power and fuel mileage then look no farther.
