Vehicle Detail

Ready for fun, just add ice to the cooler! This is a full "Westy" poptop Campmobile model, made the year of the Woodstock festival and located in Tucson Arizona. Body has some dings and dents but it is virtually without rust. Undercarriage and body have essentially zero areas with rust of any significance. Some surface corrosion on the cab area floorboards - typical - but other than a few small holes the circumference of a pencil, the floors are original and intact (and treated recently with rust paint too). This is a bus that is ready to use as-is. There are some cosmetic areas you may wish to improve it in: new paneling inside comes to mind, jump seat could be recovered, nicer carpet or a linoleum as you like, newer curtains, etc. Ignition switch has been moved to dashboard, little doodads missing here and there.. It's a 47-year-old bus and while it's in great dry Arizona condition for that age, it needs your love and a few weekends under a shade tree with some beer and.. um, whatever. Tires are brand-spankin new, battery as well, new steering drag-link rod, muffler, carb rebuilt, canvas is newer and excellent, cot canvas is also fresh and can hold a sleeper without ripping.. (sleep up top or below) fiberglass topper cap freshly coated with enamel and has new edge trim. Has louvered windows for good sleeping air, front linkage cover pan is included (removed for photos), has spare wheel holder on front so you don't need to give up bed space. Engine is solid, was recently pulled to replace a cracked heater-riser and while out was power washed, had bolts torqued, seals replaced, and all tin was cleaned and repainted to make it pretty. Generator has been replaced with alternator to handle modern sound systems, and for reliability. Light body work could be done to slider door (bottom corner - but does not affect function as it is), roadside lower midsection, some straightening has been done to rear corners of body, and there are some other miscellaneous minor dings, nothing hideous or complicated, and windshield rubber needs replacing (glass would be nice too as it has a few chips in it). What else can I say? Get in it and drive :-)
