Vehicle Detail
· 1999, hatchback, 4 cylinder (with turbo power), standard transmission (stick), 4 door, green. · The last time I used it on the road was in 2013. I would just drive it up and down the driveway (to keep it running well), and I never had a problem with it. Then one time I tried to help tow someone out of the mud. Ever since then it seems that the car shakes when you drive it. I don’t know what that’s about, but it could very well just be mud that got stuck up in some places. This is the biggest issue with the car at present. · The second biggest issue is that the transmission fluid seems to have a leak. If you ever start to feel resistance in shifting gears, you just need to go top off the transmission fluid. · One of the back windows is off its track or something. It falls down, and I taped it up with gorilla tape. · There is no back seat. It was removed to create a plywood bed area—allowing for big cargo loads. · Several of the light covers are cracked/broken (vandalism?). · The anti-theft mechanism uses up battery power. If you don’t use the car frequently (I didn’t) then your battery would be dead whenever you would go to use it. So I installed a device on the battery that allows you to turn the battery off. · It has a hitch on the back, and I have used it to haul a full trailer across many states. That engine is powerful. · The radio works, but the display doesn’t. So you can’t tell what time it is or see what station you are listening to. The CD player also works fine. · I can’t remember how well the AC works. · I don’t remember the mileage on it (I have it parked on our family farm out of town), but it’s pretty low. I have owned this vehicle for more than 7 years, and it’s only been used infrequently.
