I smogged this car and it passes 100%. You can buy this car, and no need to smog it for 2 years. Save yourself the hassle of buying some other mustang that has trouble passing. 1996 Ford Mustang GT, 5-speed, 8 cylinder, 4.6 liter engine. Clean Title. 212,000 mi, engine replaced 10,000 miles ago with a low mileage motor (estimated 60k on new motor). Car is in very good condition, strong motor, excellent acceleration, decent gas mileage (I get about 26 mpg, 31 for long distance freeway) Manual Windows, Manual Locks, Power Mirrors, Alpine Sterio/CD player. Cloth Tan seats, clean Interior, non-smoking car. This car appears to be the 248a option, which is the v8 motor in the lighter v6 body. Desirable by Ford Mustang fans. PROS: Passes Smog. Replaced engine with low mileage motor 10,000 miles ago. Transmission is strong. New Front tires 90% tread. New front breaks Fresh Oil change New Oxygen sensor Up to date on registration. Very clean seats & interior. All electrical works. CONS: AC is not cold, needs recharge. Heater works very well. Small (7 mm) puncture in Front seat. Front Left headlight needs replacing. Odometer quit 500 mi ago. Rear Fenders have scuffs. Floors have some stains. Rear breaks are about due to change (I have pads included) This car is very good, but not perfect. I just had the mechanic go through it and he says it is in very good condition for its age.
