Vehicle Detail
LQ9 LS6.0L V8 XJ with only 1800 miles on conversion!!! 1 of a kind LS 6.0L powered 2001 Jeep Cherokee SportA 2 owner, very clean Jeep Cherokee Sport with an incredibly powerful LS 6.0L LQ9. It is extremely fun to drive and gets a lot of attention. When I pull up next to some fast car they have no idea what is packed under the hood until I pull into a gas station and they ask me if something is hidden underneath the hood. This Cherokee prior to installing the 6L had very low miles, only 723xx on the odometer and since has less then 1800. At the time of the conversion the stock 4.0L cylinder and automatic transmission were sold. I took it to a local shop to have it completely looked over last week and spent $3000 to get it dialed in. This is ready to be driven and I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. It drives great and ready to go. They replaced several items including upgrading the front steering set up to a Teraflex High Steer kit, heater core, all new bilstein 5150 shocks, oil change, belt etc. Motor: Freshly built short block LS 6.0L LQ9 motor taken out of a 2002 Cadillac Escalade. The block was taken to a engine Builder in Arizona (top Gear motorsports). Top Gear completely overhauled it with all new parts. It has approximately 350 Horsepower at the crank and was tuned at 1100' in elevation (115 degrees in Arizona) on 87 octane but we have always put 91octane fuel in it. With additional timing, tuning and relocating the cold air intake or opening up some flow Top Gear said the motor is capable of 425hp at the crank as it sits. It sounds incredible and starts right up. The motor is powerful and has absolutely no problem driving. I do not notice any leaks on the ground anywhere. Top Gear charges $18-22k for similar LS V8 conversions. No cruise control. Transmission/Drivertrain/suspension/Transfer Case: Has the heavy duty 4L65E automatic 4 speed transmission. Top Gear Motorsports rebuilt the tranny at the same time as the motor and it shifts smooth and handles the power without any problems. The rear differential is a Ford 8.8" with 4.56 gears, an ARB air locker and disc brakes. The front differential is the stock Dana 30 with 4.56 gears, a Detroit limited slip and disc brakes. The transfer case is the stock NP231J with a slip yoke eliminator installed. It shifts easily in and out of 4x4. Iron Rock Offroad 5.5" Long Arm Suspension lift with new Bilstein 5150 shocks, JKS front sway bar disconnects. Steering: The Jeep steering was completely reconfigured last week and upgraded to Teraflex High steer kit $1400, drives awesome and very enjoyable. Under Carriage: The undercarriage and frame are in excellent condition without any rust. This is a Colorado/Arizona Jeep. Tires/Wheels: The tires are BF Goodrich All Terrain KO with approx 75% tread remaining. The wheels are satin/flat black widow steel wheels 16x8 in great condition. Body/Paint: This Jeep is in great condition without any accidents and a clean carfax. The paint is very shiny, shows lots of luster and reflection It does have paint some light checkering, scratches and oxidation on the hood and has oxidation, clear coat peeling and fading on the roof in a few spots. The rear doors/quarter panels have several small dings on them and the passenger door has a small dent near the body line. The roof has a dent from carrying cargo on the roof rack. The emblems were removed but are included. The plastic side panels were removed and thrown away. (view photos) Interior: The interior is very clean. The seats are in great condition, the drivers seat has a small sliver tear on the front and the rear seat on the top has a few small scratch tears in the vinyl. There is an aftermarket CD player. An antenna plug for a future CB is available under the dash. All lights, gauges, switches, windows, locks, mirrors, horn etc all work perfectly. There is a battery relocation kit for the trunk, this was installed to make room for the LQ9 cold air intake. The heater core was replaced last week and the AC was recharged at the same time - it blows ICE COLD. The Speed hut gauges include: digital mph, overall trip, elevation (altometer), 1/4 mi & 0-60 timing and clock. What you see in the photo is the mileage and below it is the elevation where I live. Winch:Warn high speed HS9500 winch with winch controller - needs hook for winch line. Overall: This is a very nice, clean and powerful Jeep Cherokee Sport XJ. Upgrades include:*LS 6.0L LQ9 motor freshly built and only 1800 miles on the conversion.*Heavy Duty 4L65E Automatic 4speed Overdrive Transmission - freshly rebuilt 950 miles ago*5.5" Iron Rock Offroad Long Arm Suspension*1 Ton front steering*4 Brand New Bilstein 5150 shocks - Last week*5 BFG All Terrain KO tires with 75% tread life*16x8 Black Spoke Widow Wheels *Custom Front and Rear bumpers with D rings*Custom Rock Sliders under the doors*Rear Ford 8.8" Differential, 4.56 gears and ARB locker, disc brakes*Front Dana 30 with 4.56 gears, Detroit Limited Slip Locker, disc brakes*Battery Relocation Kit to trunk*Speed hut custom gauges*Bushwacker Hard Plastic Fender Flares*JKS Front sway bar disconnects*Custom 3" Exhaust with magna flow muffler*Custom Radiator, engine parts needed for conversion including adapters from novac.*Front and Rear differential covers I may be missing items but look at the pictures to gain more understanding of what this Jeep is and ask any questions you may have. It is a used Jeep and 15 years old, it may have imperfections that I may have missed. Do not hesitate to ask questions or come see it in person. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as this jeep is listed for sale locally as well. A $500 non refundable deposit must be paid within 24 hours of auction end time via Paypal. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of the auction end time by an electronic bank transfer or cash in person. The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges, payments and arrangements however I will assist in the process. In the past I found it easiest to call Michael @ B&E Transport 1-606-354-3643. The Jeep must be removed within 10 business days of the auction end time.. Many of my auctions end by a phone call if you want to get the Jeep before someone else, feel free to calling or texting anytime. #720.25seven.988eight If you would like more photos in particular please reach out. I have a video of the Jeep driving, running that I am trying to post. If for some reason I can not get it uploaded feel free to asking a question and I'll post it in the response. Thank you for your interest, good luck bidding.
