This is an excellent 68 body on an 80’s GM frame and running gear. The 80’s frame and running gear is quite an upgrade over the 68 frame/gear. This truck has disc front brakes and a big block 454. I’ve gone over the major components of this truck. This truck is titled as a 1968 GMC with matching VIN tag. This is a good start on a mild or full restoration. I have this truck priced to sell quick at $3900 FIRM. This truck will sell to the 1st local or eBayer willing to buy it at that price. Automatic transmission, 454 big block motor. I drove the truck 10 miles, major components good. We tested the 454, all checked out as a good motor. The carburetor works ok, but should be rebuilt or replaced. The axles are much better than 68 and you now have disc brakes. Big blocks never came in 67-72 4x4’s, huge upgrade. BODY The body is in excellent condition speaking 67-72 truck. There is very minimal rust as show on the picture link. A good start for restoration. Rather than nit-picking a project truck, please check out all the pictures. I’ve driven the truck 10 miles, no major complaints, this is not a fly in and drive 3 states home truck, it’s a project.
