Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a used 1988 Buick Electra Park Avenue. The car shows 10469 miles, but there is only five digits in the odometer. The condition of the car and the record book found in the glove box would indicate 210469 miles. The previous owner kept detailed service records starting in Oct of 1992 with 49,784 miles and the last record was Feb of 2002 at 143253 miles. This Buick has the Notoriously reliable and fuel efficient 3800 V6! The car starts, runs, drives, and stops very well. The car was donated to our Automotive Technology program a couple years back by an estate. The car had not run for over a year when we got it. We installed a fuel pump, tuned it up, installed a new Idle Air Control valve, changed the oil, inspected the brakes, and installed a new battery. We have used the car this last year for running errands with no issues. The car travels down the road with the cruise control set at 70 mph with ease. The car is straight with no body damage and no rust, but the paint is VERY rough and faded. The interior is still very nice and plush! Seats are not torn. BOTH power seats work well. Carpet is worn a little on the drivers side but not torn. Dash is not cracked. Windshield has two chips that appear to have been filled but windshield is NOT cracked. The power windows all work (they are a little slow), The Air Conditioner is inoperable at this time. All of the AC components are present, but there is not any Freon in the system. It is still an R12 HVAC system. The heater works well. Power antenna is inoperable. Radio works but the right speaker channel doesn't make any sound. Power trunk pull down works well. Tires are OK but old and have some dry rot. I would recommend at least two tires for the rear. In short, this Buick would be a great inexpensive high school or college car. Or maybe just cheap comfortable daily around town transportation for someone. There are NO warranties given and or implied. I have tried to describe the car as honestly and completely as possible. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. The car is offered as local pick-up only.
