Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Story: I bought this Roadster about 2 years ago form a close friend that had it sitting in his garage for 5 years and lost interest. He had already collected many of the hard to find 66’ only parts and pieces and removed all of the rust when I decided to take on the project. I finished the restoration just in time to take it up to the 50th Anniversary Bronco Super Celebration a few weeks ago in Townsend TN. I had a blast driving it around the mountains at the show and have enjoyed it cruising around town as well, but I am ready to sell it so I can start on another restoration. Almost everything on it is new, and it has a lot of new old stock (NOS) items including the wire harness behind the dash. To give you an idea of how rare a U13 Roadster is, there were over 500 Broncos at the Super Celebration, and only 14 Roadsters. This truck was judged by Bronco Driver Magazine and was awarded second place out of the 14 Roadsters that were there. What is New: Tires including spare Rear Ring and Pinion Heater Core and Hoses Paint Headlights, Marker, and Taillights Windshield Wiper Arms, Blades, and Vacuum Tubing Plugs, Wires, Distributor Cap, Points, Rotor, and Condenser Coil Voltage Regulator Fuel Pump Oil Pressure, Temperature, and Fuel Sending Units All 4 Drums and Brakes Park Break Mechanism and Cables Rare Silver Mink Bench Seat Master Cylinder Seat belts Glove box Floor Mat Transfer Case Shifter Knob Headlight and High Beam Switches Turn Signal / Horn Button Switch Ignition Switch, Key Cylinder, and 2 New Keys There is much more, but too much to list Areas for Improvement: Small Chip in the Windshield (I could not get a good picture it is so small) The New Fuel Sending Unit is not working properly, but the dash gauge does move when it is grounded out.The horn is currently not working (I will probably get this fixed soon) We cleaned out and installed a new carburetor kit, but I think it could still use some tuningShifting rods / linkages were professionally adjusted, but I still have trouble getting it to drop into first gear every once in a while. I simply have to bump back up to neutral and try again. It may be operator error as I am still getting used to the column shifting. In Closing: The Roadster has been garaged ever since the restoration and I am willing to store it for you up to 30 days free of charge. I do not mind driving it to a local mechanic of your choice to have them look it over at your expense. It is a great truck and turns a ton of heads. There is no rust in the body and very little if any throughout the rest of the truck. The VIN is stamped in the frame, and it matches the VIN place as well as the title. Please feel free set an appointment to come and take a look in person and please ask any and all question via e-mail before bidding. The truck will be sold as is with a clear title and I will not be in a position to take returns. I will need to have a non refundable $500 deposit once the auction ends. I will be very flexible in helping you get this truck shipped anywhere in the USA but all of those cost will be your responsibility.
