Vehicle Detail

Fully restored 1972 k1. This bike has 1021 original miles and tag number is 2027392, engine is ct70e-227463 (or 8 can't see well). This bike has been completely restored. Even has correct "8" bolts and such I bought from CHP. It was blasted and painted with the beautiful CCR base/clear Summer 2014. Engine shipped to Darrell Gunderson (spelling) where it was professionally rebuilt/restored($875.00). Engine has about 23 miles on it since rebuilt Dec. 2014. Tail light bracket, fork rings rechromed, tail light lense NOS. Battery box and other items replated as should be. Everything else, and I mean every thing else bought from ChP. New harness, ignition switch, fenders, reflectors, tires, all plated brake hardware, springs, handlebars, horn button and horn, dimmer, upgraded bearings in steering, seals, replated axles and nuts, new battery*upgraded), seat, all "8" bolts and hardware, shifter, brake assembly and hardware, brake levers and all cables EVERY part that can be bought. Some original Honda parts, NOS, and CHP. I have around $3500-3600 worth of reciepts that buyer can have. I seemed to have misplaced some like exhaust set up. So, probably around $4000 invested. Bike has been merely display in my living room along with two more ct70's. The rear tire is in great shape and is almost identical ( but its a Cheng shin)to the front which is a Trailwing. I just never got around to changing it nor the rear brakes. I have a new Trailwing and new shoes that are included. So, for the purists, you will want that changed. It has a new CHP carb simply because they are almost identical but are much better carbs to me. I know collectors like low mile, original bikes, but I feel this beautifully restored k1 will sit highly among the best of the best. Sure, there are a few things that someone could pick apart, but that's with every single restore ct70 I've seen. A lot goes into restoring one like this and I will lose a lot of money selling, but a different project has my interest. I waited forever for a NOS helmet lock but it never happened so you will need one. I wasn't going to put an average looking rusted lock on this bike. The only big thing wrong with this resto, is the fact that AFTER paint, decals, fenders, seat, cables...everything, I noticed about a 1/2 inch hole drilled right below that helmet lock decal. I thought this was for mounting the helmet lock. ..being unfamilar with k1's. So, I installed a chrome flush mounted plug. It looks fine. Don't let that one mistake detract from the quality of this restoration. Just a mistake....and a huge one to me. I just couldn't see stripping it all back down to patch hole and repaint. This is a super nice k1. It should last forever...hopefully as a display inside. Lots of photos. If I have forgotten anything please ask. I have no intention of misleading anyone. Oh, it has one tiny chip on right side where I dropped a dang socket about 2 weeks ago. Shown in photo I think. Very small..on right side next to the stainless strip between Honda decals. I'm in Alabama so no title just bill of sale. Sorry. Call or text if I can help in any way. 334-449-3761. You are welcome to see bike in person. Not certain why these photos look grainy. I can text these and more. Thanks and good luck on a beautiful Honda CT70.On Apr-01-16 at 20:04:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I have no idea how to make the photos larger. I've spent a few hours trying. Its been a few years since I've sold anything I think. So, I guess the format has changed. Text me and I can send whatever you need. Photos don't do this bike justice. On Apr-07-16 at 15:59:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Oppppps. I took front axle out last week and installes new brake arm. I guess as I was lifting bike by myself and pulling axle out, the front right fork tube turned around. No biggie, pulled axle again and turned fork tube to correct position. Guess my leg must have spun it around. Correct now, thanks.
