4.4L V8 5 speed automatic transmission rear wheel drive 1999 BMW 740 Sport. Also known as a 740i or 740iA. Known internally by BMW as an E38. This is a true factory sport model of the E38 and is the rarest of the sport models for this series. CLEAN CARFAX. No Check Engine Light issues! I am the third owner and have taken very good care of it with over $7000 of new parts and labor put into this car within the past 2 years. All service was performed by Paul Miller BMW in Wayne, NJ and by independent certified BMW mechanics. Current mileage is 81,000. DINAN Stage 4 performance package installed which is a $5000+ option! The car has a DINAN 7 badge which is legit and certified by DINAN. The package includes a DINAN cold air intake with high flow air filter, DINAN mass air flow sensor, high flow throttle body and high flow intake manifold and performance automatic transmission software. The horsepower was originally 280 and is now over 320! The car MOVES and is real smooth and a pleasure to drive. Fully loaded with all the creature comforts you would expect from a high end German sports sedan. Factory options include Xenon headlights, heated 18 way power leather seats, auto locking doors, heated electronic tilt and telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, am/fm/cassette/DSP with 6CD changer. The new amp, in the trunk, is worth over $1000. Puddle lights, premium package, 6 air bags, key-less entry with all keys and original owners manual included. Headlight washers that really work! Tail lights, side and cornering lights have been updated to the 2001 E38 style. Auto dimming mirrors, shadowline trim, steptronic automatic transmission, M-tec rear differential (3.15:1 ratio) and M-tec suspension are all solid! M-parallel rims with an extra set of front, fully reconditioned OEM M-parallel rims still in the box. Dunlop tires have just over 10,000 miles on them and still have plenty of tread on them. The car was only driven in the summer and fall. No rust on the car. Clear coat is just starting to bubble on the roof and a little on the driver side doors which is very typical for these cars. The car has always been garaged hence why the paint has lasted this long. No rips or tears in the leather seats and a tiny and I do mean small little dent is barely visible in the passenger rear door. NO RUST! Lots of receipts for your viewing pleasure! New front brake calipers, rotors and pads. New rear rotors and pads and all new stainless steel caliper brake hoses with new DOT 4 Synthetic brake fluid. New power steering lines, window regulators, and new updated upper radiator hose. New A/C compressor, o-rings and seals with new receiver driver and refrigerant done in August 2015 and is ice cold! New gas tank vent valve. Two new oxygen sensors replaced. All new (16 of them) o-rings replaced on the fuel injectors. All new intake manifold gaskets and valve cover gaskets. New valley pan. New upper timing chain cover gaskets. Timing chain and guides were inspected and are in good condition. No replacement was necessary. New 4 wheel alignment performed at the BMW dealership. New gas gap. New fuel filter and rubber hoses. Many new small vacuum hoses replaced around the engine during servicing. New water pump, thermostat, coolant, and both serpentine belts replaced. Coolant system pressure tested and NO LEAKS! New Bosch battery Rear differential oil replaced last summer. Oil changes every 5000 miles. New transmission oil and filter. Magnetic drain plug installed in engine oil pan. New trunk and hood shocks. New front upper and lower control arms with new bushings and sway bar links will come with the car and will need to be installed eventually. Rear upper and lower control arms should also be replaced at the same time. Car comes with the original cell phone and external car phone antenna. Exhaust system is solid and is very quiet. Tinted windows. Non smoker owned vehicle since the day it was bought new. The owner I bought the car from (second owner) owned it for over 10 years and he had the DINAN performance parts and software installed. His wife drove the car most of the time. Original owners were an older couple.
