Up for auction is a really nice example of a TRUE barn find 1966 Mustang. I just purchased this car from the second owner who has owned this car in North Carolina over the last 45 years. Replaced gas tank, coil, to get it running. Car starts, and drives, but since it has been in dry storage for years it still needs a tune up, oil change etc. Engine runs very smooth and quite. Transmission shifts as it should with no issues.The car shows a repaint from years ago. Very solid floors, trunk, and cowl. Very hard to find a car of this age in this shape!Trunk has hole on top side from luggage rack that was removed. All panels seem to be original to the car except for the trunk. Car has very nice, seat cover, headlined, carpets, and dash pad But could use new steering wheel. Engine compartment is very original, needs to be detailed. It shows original manufacturing stamps and 50 years of patina. I have original air cleaner.Car sits on American torque thrust wheels 215 70 14. With Goodyear tires. This is a great time capsule that can either be restored or cleaned up, tuned up, and driven as is. Please review pictures carefully, email questions.
