This is a beautiful 1965 bug. I purchased this bug 40 years ago in 1976 from a military officer who was stationed in Germany where he purchased it new and shipped it to the states. Always garaged .. In 2003 had it professionally restored. I spared no expense on mechanical and paint work. I wanted it to look new and be in perfect driving condition. I also installed a new 1600 engine for a little more power back in the eighties, but that was only about 2000 miles ago Replaced all rubber seals, hoses, shocks and brakes with all genuine parts. It has 12volt conversion and everything works perfect except original radio, it is hit or miss. Has new tires and safety inspected. Car is ready to go anywhere. New battery, starter, generator and wiper motor. heater and defrosters work great. Also comes with an aftermarket roof rack..has all original interior except for headliner and carpets have been replaced. its has always been a California car with the exception.. it did spend a few years in Arizona. Car has never had any rust. Windows are original including the rear pop outs and all have factory polarized tint.. windshield has been replaced also with tint The paint is deep and very shiny.. also all sheet metal is original, no panel has ever been replaced. Everywhere you go its quite the attention grabber and everyone compliments it's truly nice condition..it's as clean a car underneath as it is on top. Anything the bug ever needed i've always replaced, and honestly i can't see anything wrong with it besides the radio knobs that went missing. No oil leaks from drivetrain and all fuel lines are new. Always keep fuel stabilizer in tank with premium fuel because sometimes years go by before its driven. i can only attest to the fact that in 40 years it's gone less than 7k miles and there was 10k miles on the car when i purchased it and from the condition and i had no reason to believe anything different.
