This is an original blue plated California survivor FJ40. I bought it from an older gentleman last year, he was the second owner. He told me he bought it 21 year ago from the original owner with 10K miles on it. It's been driven only about 1000 miles a year since. Thankfully, he kept it all original, only upgrades are , front disc brakes, a Weber dual barrel carburetor, headers, rims with bigger tires, front bumper a nice Warn winch that's never been used and a Tuffy lockable center console box with arm rest, can be seen in one of the interior photos. Naturally he had to install rear fender flares due to bigger tires. The tires have less than 1500 miles. Here's a short summary; - Original Dune Beige paint, never been repainted, has a beautiful patina.- All original glass.- All original drivetrain.- All parts that have been upgraded are included, rims, hubcaps, carb, manifold, even the original tires!! Most are not pictured but will be included.- All original keys, two sets.- The original MSRP sticker.- Original owner's manual. Also will include a few shop manuals. This FJ40 is in great condition, showing little wear for it's age, it runs great, engine is very strong, 4 speed transmission is smooth. It has no rust, there are little orange surface perforations in some areas which is to be expected, but no rust. The exterior is in great condition, no accident or body work. The interior is all intact, all seats have been re upholstered, all switches are functioning, front and rear heaters are working, all lights and turn signals are functioning perfectly. Since I bought it I have had the top/roof professionally painted Bone white, the front grill powder coated same color, 4 wheel alignment and an oil change. There are no excuses to be made for this FJ.. I also have a box full of used spare parts that previous owner had acquired throwout the years which I will include as well. No California smog is required, I have the clear title on hand. I'm selling this great truck reluctantly but my daughter is going to an expensive collage soon so it must go! I just sold a classic BMW on eBay for $31K to a buyer in Illinois with a positive feedback, so please offer with confidence and don't hesitate to email with any questions. Please no lowballs.
