1975 Mercedes Benz 450SL, Red on Black 450SL with 96K miles in beautiful condition. This is an adult driven car that has been pampered throughout its life. Numbers matching and properly maintained drivetrain, repainted in 2001 with color match Mercedes red (paint looks good but could use a professional polishing to restore to 100%), restored interior in 2009 with factory seat padding and covers, factory floor mat and carpet, new factory soft top installed in 2009, Cooper tires have less than 7,000 miles, new battery in 2015, new muffler in 2012, new brake pads/rotors on all 4 wheels in 2015. The car also comes with original hardtop, hardtop storage unit (with wheels), and hardtop cover. To make this car 100% three issues can be addressed; 1. two nickel sized paint bubbles on trunk (see picture) 2. Aftermarket radio does not work, 3. Shifter and transmission work flawlessly but the shifter bushing needs to be replaced (common for 1968-1987 Mercedes shifters). The car is originally from Naples, Florida and served for many years as my in-law’s weekend driver at their Florida home. Books and records are provided, but previous owners were not the best record keepers. We had plans to keep the car forever, but this is one of a few collector cars and she deserves an owner that will drive her more often. Ebay history has shown this year of the 450SL can sell for as much as $23K for a trailer queen and as low as $3,000 for a roller in need of total restoration.
