Chevrolet 15005.7L v8 183,500 milesAutomatic Transmission Up for sale is a 1990 Chevrolet 1500. The truck is powered by its original 5.7L v8 and is a 4x4. The truck is what it is- a solid work horse that will carry or tow anything. The engine is powerful, the suspension is solid, the transmission shifts smoothly, the tires have plenty of tread left, and the heat and A/C work fine. All the lights and power windows work. The bench seat is not the most comfortable for long trips, but it can seat up to three people and I've found there is ample storage behind it. The truck starts, runs, stops, and drives great. I would drive it anywhere and any distance with no worries whatsoever. Like any old truck, there are a few pieces of "character" I've listed below: -the radio works well but the cassette player does not work-both doors sag slightly. You need to shut the door with some force to fully close them.-Sometimes the 4wd electronic selector (floor mounted) does not shift it fully into 4wd. It always locks the rear axle but the front wheels do not always activate. This is a fairly common problem for these older Chevys and I believe a new actuator is needed. I purchased one for $50 at Autozone but have not replaced it yet. When the actuator works to select them, 4x4 hi and lo work great and the truck will get you anywhere. Other than that everything on the truck works exactly as it should. The truck has always gotten me where I needed to go and I expect it to keep running strongly for many years to come.
