Hello and Welcome to my 7 day auction ! Up for Sale is a rare opportunity to own a very nice and mostly original 1958 Porsche 356A/1600 Reutter #712 OF 2000 Same owner for 43 years!!!Just came out of a 10 yr. beauty sleep in a garage from Sunny dry ARIZONA/// My name is James Thomas, I myself and my son Lazarus are classic car hunters we have found and bought some of the rarest collector cars around all over the U.S I have been collecting cars for over 25 years, and when I heard about this rare '58 356 A Porsche garage find, for the first time it was a must have for us, and now I am offering it to you. It was never advertised for sale since 1972 until now. This Porsche has been In Phoenix Arizona since 1972, it was bought from the original owner who lived in the state of Nevada. As far as what the older gentleman in the picture below told me this car never seen any snow or driven in bad weather, and I believe Him because he loved his Porsche vary much and always covered it, and stored it in that tiny little garage in the back. This picture was taken when we bought it from him and he told us to take good care of her! The only reason he needed to sell this car was due to poor health issues and it took me weeks and weeks to convince him that he is not going to use it anymore. At one point he called me and gently speaking told me, I decided to let her go come and get her before I change my mind again. This car was the second owners pride and joy, and was his daily driver up in till the late 1980's when he decided to due a complete overhaul by some rip off shop here in Phoenix who is no longer in business, now wonder why. It was painted Indian Red 2 stage. The restoration cost him $12,000 and they told him to due away with the motor and, duel carbs because parts are to expensive and hard to find, "its ez to go to any parts store and get parts for the Porsche if we do it this way" half truth but not the best way, he wanted to keep and enjoy it so # didn't mater at the time. I found a lot of nice 356 1600 motors on craig's list running for around $8,000. I seen a guy on ebay without # matching and with a nice paint job turn down six figures. Yes the silver one, lol had to do it."THIS BEUTTY DESERVE THE CORRECT RESTORATION"I showed a few pals this car and had several good offers, but this is not a fire sale, I dont need any trades or help selling this auto by brokers, not to be rude, but this is the right car for the serious buyer! Porsche has a nice body, yes dreams do come true, a Arizona Porsche, a solid uncut floor pan is rare for these little collector cars because there easily prone to rust. Phoenix Arizona is 0 humidity so no major work here and perfect for a higher end restoration for some person who wants a nice solid driver! Stainless, and glass are in great condition except front windshield. I like to mention these little things due to my new feedback.
