Vehicle Detail
This is an original 1976 MR175, of which I am the second owner...The first guy put only 1140 miles on it in the 30 years he owned it - stowed it in his garage after a workplace injury made riding difficult...I bought it in 2007 and have put on the last 249 miles - the 1389 Odo miles are the true total...I long admired the look of the MR-Elsinores and figured I would restore and upgrade this into a near-display quality item..I also figured I would add the necessary switches/brakelight/flickers so that it would be street-legal for that occasional dry-weather commute or Sunday ride-around...But like so many little projects, the upgrade never got going... This bike could use a good detail-cleaning/polishing, but is in really good shape for a 40-YO bike... There is superficial rust on the frame and pipe, with obvious oxide on the engine fins and on the fork sliders...The tank is UNDENTED with only some paint nicks on the RH side and a 2-inch paint scrape/chip on the lower LH...The bike kickstarts easily and runs well with that desired quick throttle snap-rev, but petcock needs a good cleaning as its flow doesn't currently keep the carb filled for sustained motoring around; the tank has an internal patina of rust, and would benefit from a good cleaning/shakeout with BB/Shot or pea-gravel... The OEM seatcover has some age-tears - I ordered a new one which will be included with bike...This MR175 is 99-percent OEM - only the mirror(s) and a broken clutch perch have been changed...Otherwise, it has all the original equipment, including the forks, shocks, brakes, tires, tubes, DID rims, handlebar, levers, lights, electrics. and chain and sprox...The rear brake lever broke off its tip and was re-bent into working shape by orig owner... Bike will come with my signed Bill Of Sale...I had the original (Washington) Title, from the first owner, but I now can't find it, so Buyer will have to apply for a replacement - unless one intends to part-out (Owners of CR125M's or of MT125's will recognize all the potential direct-replacement parts), but that would be a shame to do to this intact machine... The BUYER will be required to: (1) Make the nonrefundable $400.00 deposit into PayPal within that first 48 hours; (2) Pay off the balance due within the total 7-day period, preferably by Electronic Direct Transfer of funds from his/her bank to my Credit Union account, altho Cashier's Check or cash express/priority mailed (with Tracking) will do; (3)Arrange for his/her pickup or shipping of bike....Fairly simple - When the money has been cleared, and shipping details arranged per mutual pickup schedule, the bike will be on its way to the Buyer...An Invoice and Notes with all the necessary details from the SELLER's end will be provided by e-mail after deposit is paid... Missing Title is explained above - Replacement will be Buyer's responsibility - Bike is NOT a salvage or rebuilt item...And, for practical reasons, Buyer must be located in USA or Canada only, despite any contrary checkoffs....I want to keep things simple and direct....
