You are bidding on a beautiful 1980 Mercedes-Benz 300D with 203,327 miles on it. The car was bought new in 1980 at Mercedes-Benz Manhattan and has lived in the area ever since. The engine was replaced in November with an 80,000 mile engine out of a wrecked car (original engine was overheated). The car starts, runs, and drives as it should. The heat and a/c work well, with the servo having been replaced two years ago. The interior has custom coco mats, with only two minor cracks in the dash. Everything works as it should, the radio works, the antenna works, all four windows work, the sunroof works, and the doors lock and unlock as they should. The cruise control also works. The headlights have been replaced with euro spec Cibie units. The car has some rust on the left front rocker as well as the left rear door jamb. The door bottoms also have some rust. I've been using the car as a winter beater and that is exactly what it is great for. I would not hesitate to drive the car across the country. The paint shows very well as does the interior. At the moment the car does not need anything but a driver. It is by no means a show car, but gets looks and thumbs up daily. The suspension does not make any noise and the brakes have plenty of life left, as do the tires. At the moment I have too many cars and it's time for one to go, but it will be missed.
