Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1980 Honda CB750 F Super Sport with 4,000 original miles . I purchased the bike from the original owner who rode it for the Fall of 1980 and then never rode it again. It was put into dry storage and that's where I found it 35 years later. My original intention was to build a café racer using this as the starting point but I quickly realized that this was a completely untouched time capsule and it would be a shame to hack it about. I have found a very sorry Norton Commando that is a better candidate for a café racer. Everything on the Honda works as it did when it was new, all the electrics are working and it is mechanically sound. The engine starts right up and runs very well.I have completed the following to get the Honda road worthy again:-All the brake calipers and master cylinders have been rebuilt with new OEM seals. DOT5 silicon fluid used.New EBC brake padsNew front brake reservoirNew front Galfer stainless steel braided lines and banjo boltsNew OEM rear flex brake lineCarbs have been stripped and professionally cleaned with new gaskets, accelerator pump, and air bypass valves. New carb to head rubber mountsNew cam cover gasket. Valve lash checked.New clutch cableNew chainBatteryEngine oil and filter Fork oil replacedNew OEM Choke cableNew OEM speedo cable What is still needed.:- I have pair of new Continental tires to replace the 35 year old originals. I have not got around to fitting them yet . The fork dust seal are looking a bit tired, I do have new OEM dust seals. The rear adjustable shocks work well but the chrome has a few pits that do not affect the operation. The pipes and mufflers are OK, but there is a small rust hole at the underside of the right hand muffler. The muffler and pipe chrome is passable with only a few light scratches and minor pits. With a little work on the cosmetics, this bike can be a very nice looking and riding restoration of a 1980's icon. It is still very fast and will provide a lot of riding enjoyment.
