What I know about the car: I purchased this car in January of 2009 with 51,297 miles from a plumber in Connecticut (which is why the glove box area was scratched up from pipes). His wife was the original owner when they lived in Brooklyn, NY in 1996. The car was barely used since they had two more modern cars and a truck. When I got the car the windshield was cracked, the passenger door lock was broken, the drivers door was missing the weather seal and the mirror was damaged, the front bumper was cracked, transmission was noisy, the engine had a minor oil leak, and the rear passenger glass was leaking (which is why it has a rust spot). Other than that, the car was mechanically in good shape. I already had a 1996 Civic CX without air conditioning (which I needed), so I swapped over a few parts and began repairing the minor issues listed above. I have a spreadsheet to show you what has been done to the car in the last 7 years. I would give most of the car a 8/10 as it is 20 years old next month. It was my daily driver and fun to drive until 2/27/16 when I transferred the plates to a new car. Traffic has been getting worse around my parts so I gave up driving a manual for now and got a CVT (yes, I'm getting old). Also with the sporty suspension and larger rims/tires, the ride is a little noisier than I want now. I would recommend this car for anyone who knows how to drive manual and needs something cheap and dependable. It's not show quality. It has dings/dents/scratches, chipped clear coat on passenger side, rust near rear passenger wheel well, drivers seat has seen better days. The manual transmission is a little noisy until warmed up. I kept the car pretty clean and we are a smoke free household. The car has an alarm with shock sensor, MP3/CD Kenwood Excelon radio (pictured)with USB, AUX connections, and remote. The CX model DOES NOT have power steering. Original owner's manual for car, radio, and alarm included. I have the title on hand and ready.
