Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1959 Chevy Apache 3100 - Fleetside/Short Bed. Very Original Condition! We are selling our very original 1959 Chevy Apache Short Bed Fleetside. “Ellie” has been in our family for 6 years. I bought her from a co-worker in 2010 who brought it up to Oregon from Arizona, where it lived its first 45 years. I will do my very best to describe everything about the truck. Please feel free to email me with any questions. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Details · 1959 Chevy Apache – Fleetside/Short Box. I won’t go into great detail about the original specs, they are easily found online. · 39,790 miles, which we believe to be original, based on what we know about the history (AZ farm truck), the originality of motor parts, and the oil change stickers that we found in the ash tray (I’ll include). · Original 235 Thriftmaster inline 6 motor. 3 speed manual (on the tree). · Truck starts right up and runs well. As with most cars of this age, it requires a couple seconds of choke when it’s been sitting for long periods of time. · Deluxe factory heater. Fan blower works. · Wipers work. · Original radio delete. · Tires are in excellent condition. Over 90% tread remaining. · All gauges work, including gas, oil pressure and temperature. · Electrical is in good condition. Front and back lights all work, as do the turn signals (they are a little sensitive). Original T3 head lamps. · Seats were redone by previous owner and I added two seatbelts. Other than that, interior is in original condition. · Some surface patina on the body and motor bay. The only tiny spots of real rust are underneath on the vertical panel hanging down below the cab (no rust on the body or cab itself – see photo). Should be an easy and relatively inexpensive repair. · Body is really straight and panels line up (see photos). It’s pretty close to ready for paint, if that’s what you decide to do. · Driver door latch sticks a little. Sometimes you have to drop handle inside for it to latch properly. · I’ve had the carb rebuilt, the original gas tank completely relined, foot-stomp starter rebuilt, electrical repaired (Over $2k spent getting it in excellent operating order). I replaced the tail lamp lens gaskets, side mirrors, and hubcaps. Had emblems repainted. I can include any of the original parts upon request. · The truck has a very small oil leak. I had her sitting for the winter, and had about 4-5 droplets. · The chrome bumpers show some surface rust. Looks cool as-is or could go for a rechrome. · Both windows roll down, driver side takes a little muscle. There is a "ka-thunk" from the front end when you go over speed bumps at a certain speed. I believe a previous owner may have dropped the front end slightly to give it a better stance. There's no damage or anything wrong, but I wanted to be sure to disclose it. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Included · The truck (obviously) · I have original shop manuals as well as reprints that I’ll include in the sale (retail $100+) · I am including an oak bed kit (already finished) including all hardware. (about $500) · I have various rubber, additional accessories, chrome bed latch chains, and a whole bunch of other pieces that I’ll include (about $150) · I’ve got some fun old magazine advertisements that I’ll include – suitable for framing. · I’ll also included an original 1959 Chevrolet Color Bulletin, which shows the original color numbers (Cadet Gray) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Our Apache is one of the most original I’ve seen on eBay. I did my very best to represent the truck accurately, but please message me with any questions. You’ll fall in love with it like our family did. This truck definitely turns heads and is fun to drive! Truck is sold as-is. Buyer to arrange and pay for shipping, if needed. $500 due within 48 hours of close of auction. The remaining due within 7 days AND before pickup. I reserve the right to end this auction early. ***Please note, the Coca Cola cooler is NOT included in the sale. If you MUST have it, I'll consider offers. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Please feel free to watch my short video where I do a walk-around, and start up the Apache: On Feb-25-16 at 14:44:51 PST, seller added the following information: **UPDATE: Part of my initial description was incorrect. The car came to Arizona via Colorado. I was told that by the person I purchased Ellie from, but was notified by an earlier owner about how it ended up in Arizona. My apologies for the information, but I wanted to be sure to disclose. Thanks!
