FYI..you might need to use a non-mobile version of eBay to view the video. This car is fresh from the fields of Texas! I spotted the front corner of an old pickup poking outside the edge of a fence. After knocking on the door to see if the pickup was for sale, I found a treasure trove of old cars and trucks in the backyard. Apparently whenever the owner would get a new car, he would simply park the old one in the backyard. This Impala was running and driving when he parked it sometime just after 1995. I put in a new battery and the engine easily turns over (check out my YouTube channel for the video of the engine) but doesn't start. The main spark plug wire has a very faint spark but I don't know how to mess with points. Other than putting on new tires/battery and cleaning the car out, this car is totally untouched. The original oil looks great and doesn't have any debris or film and the coolant is nice and green. The original engine was a 307 but the owner says he had the rebuilt 350 installed around 1992. There is a Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor and the car has factory air! There are a couple small rust holes in the body, some bigger holes on the driver's side rear quarter, and the floor pans on the passenger side are rusted out. The trunk is also rusted out and will need to be replaced. The bottom of the doors look great and the frame and suspension components only have very light surface rust.
