Vehicle Detail

1957 Ford F100 4x4 short bed. I know, Ford didn't make these back in 57. This one has obviously been converted. The story on the truck is this started life as a 1957 F100 2wd short bed. 223/4spd manual. In the late 60's the original (Grand Father) owner converted the truck to 4wd with 1960 Ford parts. So this has all the standard axles/ transfer case, etc that would had been available in 1959 and after. The truck was used throughout until the Grandson received the truck, which he sold it. The engine has been rebuilt (no paperwork) according to the grandson by his father. The drive line is 223 straight 6, T98 4spd, Dana 24 divorced case, Dana 44 closed knuckle front axle and Ford 9" rear axle. Both axles are open diff with 3:90 ratio. The truck has 16 inch steel wheels painted black (don't know what off) with 235/85/16 Maxxis mud tires. The Grandson painted the truck prior to selling about 5 -6 years ago. Since I have owned the truck I have replaced the battery (optima red top), exhaust (flow master), shocks (KYB gas adjusts front/back) replaced both master cylinders, replaced all front brake parts/seals, front wheel bearings, tie rods, drag link, alignment, ujoints (front shaft), resealed transfer case and install new poly mounts, all rubber brake lines (rear brakes were all new prior to me purchasing), rebuilt generator and replaced fuel pump. Prior to my purchase the radiator had been rebuilt, new front windshield with seal, new rear window with seal, new clutch, warn hubs and aftermarket triple gauge set. The truck is a real nice driver, always starts right up, no issues and runs out great. The paint is a nicer driver quality but it does have a few nicks that I have photos of. The front cab mounts have been rebuilt when painted. The only rust is on the step board which has been treated and covered with diamond plate (see photo). The only issues I know of is the engine either has a pan leak or rear main, the speedo doesn't work (not sure if cable or gauge), needs new weather stripping around the doors, the side windows are original and have a crack on the very bottom (doesn't inhibit function see photo) and the wing windows are original and delamaned a little around the edges. The truck has clean title and permanent Washington classic plates. This truck could be driven anywhere but I wouldn't...drives like a 60 year old truck. I may deliver for a fee in Oregon, Washington, Idaho area. I will not ship the truck till all money has cleared my account.
