I've owned this project for about 20 years and can answer a high percentage of any questions you may have. This is a complete car that has had all rust/panel work completed and is ready for metal finishing and paint. I purchased the car in Olympia WA and I am the 3rd owner. Rust repair was performed by Porsche 356 Specialist, Kim Schultz in Portland, OR. I moved to So. Cal. in 2001 and the car is now in Oceanside, CA. I am available to show the car to you or your agent most any time and would urge you to come look. Specifics: Chasis 153405. Hood, deck lid and doors are numbered. 5 wheels dated 3/60. Original 741 transaxle. Original engine is long gone (P602529), current engine no numbers but clearly "A" carbs. Turns nicely and records indicate 40 K on it. Having never driven the car I can't say anything about mechanical condition, however records again indicate syncros 1-2 at 70 K. Body: New floorboards, longitudinals, closing panels and battery tray. Door bottoms and lower skin. Any and all rust thru repaired with metal. Only collision damage was L/F below headlamp and R/R around tail light, nothing serious. Gaps are beautiful as per pictures. Last time I moved the car, the hardtop blew off and broke the rear glass and hold down hardware. Besides obvious damage it is tweaked, (repairable) but compromised. I was going to utilize some soft top bows I purchased anyway, and they will go with car. Items missing include windshield (cracked), hubcaps and jack. There may be other items, however, I have taken great pains to keep every item that the car came with including rotted carpet (look closely at pics). Rolling dolly bolted to body is included. Includes spare seat for original with broken back (parts). Radio is a Blaupunkt Frankfurt. Transportation is buyers responsibility, but I will certainly assist anyway I can. I have WA title, however, I require wired funds within a week of auction. In closing, we all know the horrors paint can hide...not here however. You get to pick colors, in and out, to your liking.
