Bought this toward the end of 2013. Found the car in a lot with a bunch of other old neglected cars. Had been sitting a very long time but it didn't look like the had been messed with. Some surface rust but very little rust thru on body. Interior was in good shape and original. So I took a chance. I was hoping a cheap engine rebuild maybe some brakes and I'd be on the road, what a dreamer... Finally brought the car to my mechanic in December, had him take the motor out and sent it to the machine shop. Mechanic felt due to age of car block and head may not be any good. Machine shop tested both and they said there good. That's the good news, the bad new was the cost. Do you know that stock pistons for a 2002 cost 200 each? Oil sump pump 650? Mechanic put the total cost to buy parts plus labor plus machine work would come to 4500. Sadly that is out of my range. So the car is for sale. Motor has be lightly bolted back together and place in the car. The car is all registered and insured. Original title was transferred to me.
