Vehicle Detail
1982 Honda CX 500 Turbo, Excellent condition, tires recent, new battery. Rides fantastic! I have owned 2 of these, plus a 650 turbo and this is one of the nicest riding bikes I've experienced. Owning one is actually easier than most people think, with fuel injection there are no clogged carbs. Fires up everytime without hesitation. Wind protection is excellent. Two up is actually comfortable. I believe I am the third owner of the CX500 Turbo. Just had the manifold O rings replaced, valve cover gaskets, valve cover bolt seals and a valve adjustment. The charging system was check as well is working fine. Ace Honda "old school" mechanic Walter at Seattle Cycle Service did the work. Total bill $578.71. Worth every penny after the adjustments, the CX Turbo comes strong as it should when the turbo goes on boost! Around town it feel like a normal 500cc bike, open the fuel injection up and hang on, think Clark Kent into Superman, think Millenium Falcon into hyperspace. Ok maybe a little exaggeration but all in all a nice collectable fun machine. I have been stopped often enough to explain to people what this model was. Many have never seen one or heard of one. The bike comes with the original tool kit, Honda Tire pressure gauge, gold embossed owners manual and a service manual. Rare Hondaline Custom Cover. The feel of the CX500 Turbo is like a liter bike on the freeway, snap the throttle and watch the LED turbo boost showing the boost of the turbo, the acceleration makes you forget your on a 500cc machine. Honda did it's homework in the turbo wars of the 1980's. Way ahead of it's time! There is some paint that needs touch on the Turbo emblems, over all the rest of the paint is in good condition, check the pics. There is no warranty on the CX Turbo, it is 34 years young, a time capsule. I will assist the buyer with any shipper, gas prices as low should help in pricing. $4500 for a quick sale it will be worth more someday better than most stocks these days. I'm also selling my 1971 Honda CB750 K1 on another auction....On Jan-26-16 at 19:21:39 PST, seller added the following information: I was informed uhaulbikes.com has a shippers special at $450 that is a great price, I have dealt with this company and was very satisfied with their professionalism.
