Salesmen Bob Walker sold the 280SL to Mr. Maury Freidson Of Anaheim, Calif. (Original Owner) He Purchased A Desirable 291 Dark Olive Green With 140 Cognac MB Tex Interior & 4 Speed Manual Transmission Mr. Maury Freidson worked in the law firm. He mostly drove this SL thru the 70's & 80's, documenting the low mileage at 133,654 being actual. Tons of Service records including emissions proving the mileage. Has been always garaged & taken care of. Serviced regularly & only was cared for by Mercedes Specialist. In August of 1999, after owning the 280SL for 31 years - it was sold to a close friend of the family who admire the car for many years. The Mercedes didn't go far, a short distance away to Laguna Hills. The second owner other then maintenance kept the SL in the same condition as the original owner. It was a car he just loved to drive around town in. Fast forward 17 years later, December of 2015 it was found sitting in the garage. Parked & Covered - In the second owner's words "Really hasn't had much attention". I am proud to offer to you this 69' Mercedes 280 SL Convertible That Has Never Has Been Publically Offered Up For Sale Anywhere Since The Year 1968 . . . . A True Garage Find Survivor The Top & Bottom Photo Is Where The SL Recited In The Garage. The second owner climbing into the Pagoda - Laguna Hills, California Kept mostly all stock & original thru out it's life. A excellent example of a Los Angeles California car with it's original Black Plates including Dealer license Frame. Solid Undercarriage including original floor boards. The body is very solid & very clean. The trunk compartment remains all factory. One repaint in the mid 80's, same color Dark Olive. All The interior is original including the upholstery & carpet. The original radio & trim is still in place. The white headliner of the hardtop is in great shape. Remains in unrestored condition that still shows well. Does show normal wear & tear due to being a driver. Has a few dings from being in the garage. Driver Seat has a couple of rips & carpet has wear from being original. The 2.8 Liter 6 Cylinder is in great running condition. Original 4 speed manual transmission with factory power steering. Shifts & brakes well. Sounds & feels like a 280SL. It handles smoothly (drives & brakes straight). Exterior lights all seem to work fine. It has had been taken care of thru out its life. It comes with a ton of service records, hundreds of pages. Overall, It's a California 69' 280 SL With Plenty History.
