Vehicle Detail
So here is the dealio.1910cc built engine, dual carbs, cam, headerEngine needs final tuning/timing adjustmentsNew clutch setup, lots of new parts in build, brakes, lines, fuel tank, starter, brakes, etc. etc. This car was stripped down to the tub, it was sent out for sandblasting and dipped. Bodywork done, everything was painted while apart. Still needs the fenders, trunklid, and hood bolted back on, but everything is painted. Convertable frame is there, but it needs a new cover. No interior is in the car, but i have it all. Seats will need recovered. All glass is good. Has VERY good condition rare American Pride mag wheels and good tires.I did damage the rear valance when i was moving it, so it will need repaired, it cracked the paint.Lots of spare parts go with it. Many different seats/door panels/dash's/glass/ etc. You will end up with a 8' bed full of extra bug stuff. BUY IT NOW FOR 10k, there is roughly 13-14k in the car so far. I didn't think so, but these ol bug convertables pull some serious (20-30k) when done. This one is very nice "so far". Id say you'll have another 3-4k in it, mainly being having the seats redone (like a custom job). Much cheaper if you just had new factory covers put on.I would trade it for:a clean driver 72-73 lincoln mark iv (with the taller front grill)a clean driver 70-72 cutlass/442 big blocka clean driver 69-70 Satellite/Roadrunner clean driver 67-72 SHORTBED STEPSIDE chevy 2wd truck.or a variety of these if they need mechanical work. Mechanical work would be ok, but i can't really tackle any major projects right now. Not looking for more bodywork.I just don't have the time/desire to put into this car anymore. As good as it is currently, i'm not about to half-a$$ it just to get it done. No shortcuts were taken so far, so no sence in starting now. Plans/ideas change, New job/ house/ ya know....life. I reserve the right to end the auction at any point, and I do have my own "reserve" on the car. I won't sell it below a certain price. Obviously I 'm NOT going to let the car go for 1000 bucks, so plan on that when bidding. I'm just saying all this now to prevent anyone from making assumptions if it doesn't get much bidding. Figure on it being close to the buy it now price...which is 10k, that's where i would cancel the auction for you. Communication is key.
