This has been my baby for the last 5 years...it brings me great sadness to even think about selling it. I searched for years for an unmolested Z. A few months before finding this one, I purchased another z over the net, which appeared to be nice. It turned out to be GARBAGE. Since I had already won the bid, I owned it. I found this one at a local insurance yard. It had been wrecked on the right front. Aside from the damage from the accident, the car was SUPER clean in and out. The accident was not bad at all, the airbags did not deploy, the frame was not bent, and it was still drivable. As a matter of fact I drove home from the yard, which is about 80 miles away. Not sure why the insurance totaled it, maybe it was the age of the car, but it was EXACTLY what I needed...so I literally took a lemon and made lemonade! I took the parts needed from the donor and scrapped the rest. After the car was PROFESSIONALLY repaired and painted, it was thoroughly inspected by the STATE OF ALABAMA DOT, and issued a REBUILT TITLE. The car has been painted, stereo system upgraded (Bluetooth remote cd satellite ready), dropped 2 inches, with 19" Niche staggered wheels. It has new tires, a new timing belt, water pump, and all new drive belts. All fluids have been changed, and the car is in top shape BOTH mechanically and cosmetically. The leather interior is in excellent shape...there is slight wear on the drivers seat bolster, but no tears or anything major. The rest of the interior is perfect. It does not leak, smoke, or make any strange noises. It runs and drives great...it is a blast to drive...due to the aggressive stance it corners like it's on rails! Other than the wheels and stereo, it is TOTALLY STOCK. Even though the title is rebuilt, the car is IMMACULATE! When I say she has been babied, I am not kidding. I bought the car with 109k miles...and 5 years later it has 112k miles! I have driven it to a few car shows, and some weekends. When I bought it I was single with no kids...now I am married with 1 kid and 1 on the way...so a 2 seater no longer fits my lifestyle. By no means, am I desperate to sell it, but I rarely get to drive it, but before I give it away, I will continue to enjoy seeing it in the garage. The car is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. There is NO warranty expressed, or implied. The car is available for pickup ONLY...I will not ship for any reason.
