1969 BMW R60/2 for auction. This is an amazing BMW motorcycle. I am selling it because I want someone else to ride it and not just let it sit in a garage. It is excellent shape. It was restored in 2002. Since then it has just over 820 miles put on it!!! The paint, metal and chrome are in great shape. The pipes show some color change but no rust. Ed Korn from Cycle Works rebuilt the crank. (Picture of invoice will be provided) It has matching numbers (pictures). The vin is 1818036. The bike has a few cosmetic nicks The only big item that needs repaired is the Kick starter. The segment and idler gears are not meshing. The easy fix is do engage the clutch push lever down about 1/3 of the way and then release clutch and kick start it. It works very well doing this. However, having said this I, will refund $400 to the winning bidder for this issue. I have more than $17,000 in this bike and it is a real head turner. The reserve is just over ½ of the original price. Good luck. It was complete redo in the 2002-4 time frame. New paint, Mechanical and Slingers.On Dec-23-15 at 04:58:43 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked about the matching numbers. I have included 2 additional photos. Also I was asked about the color of the tank on the inside- Red. Also I started it today to show a buyer. It started fine. Lastly, I was asked about the kick starter. When I spoke with Dr.Chris B. And Vech (Two very respected guys), they indicated that this was more an issue of not letting the two gears mesh and trying to kick start it from the top of the range.
