UPDATE 12/16, I'VE ADDED THE MAKE OFFER OPTION TO THE $4850, I DON'T HAVE MUCH ROOM ON THIS TRUCK, BUT ALSO REALIZE THIS IS THE WORST TIME OF YEAR TO SELL A CAR, IT'S A BUYERS MARKET RIGHT NOW. Auto restoration shop offers this 1979 Ford F150 4x4 pickup. I bought this truck from the original owner in the high desert of eastern Washington. This truck is a clean running/driving mild project ready for the new owner to give it the final touches. I was told the original mileage is 105,xxx, I believe it from the lack of wear and of course buying from the original owner. WA state classifies all vehicles of this age mileage exempt, so we can’t prove mileage. I’ve driven the truck 100 miles with no complaints, this is a solid driver that is mostly original, with factory Air Conditioning. The original 351M V8 runs and drive excellent, was told it has never been rebuilt. The valve stem seals were replaced a few years ago. Perfect compression, no smoke or cold or hot startup, excellent torque/power. Motor is all stock Ford components. Factory A/C functional, it needs a re-charge. It’s still 1979 R12 freon, you can keep it that way, R12 can still be found, or buy the R134A conversion kit for $18 and load it with cheap modern freon. Newer clutch works great, 4 speed manual shifts great. I did not notice any mechanical problems on my 100 mile test drive, tight solid truck. Dana 44 disc brake front axle, 9 in rear axle. Power steering, power brakes. 4 speed manual transmission, part time 4x4 transfer case with manual locking hubs. BODY The body panels and paint are all original which is the best way to buy any vintage vehicle as you know exactly what you are getting and you know there were no serious accidents. This truck was adult owned which is great, it has not been molested and or modified. Pictures tell most of the story, please view them all, better than me describing small imperfections on a 36 year old original truck. The truck is rot free except for some small spots in the bed. This truck got a sheet of plywood screwed down in the bed with a light pickup bed camper on top of it. That setup was installed by Ford when the truck was new, and taken off when I bought the truck. Screwing wood to the bed held moisture which caused some issues. Spots can be patched with Linex over it. The rest of the truck has no rot. We cut off the original muffler, added glass-packs with chrome tips, sounds good, not too loud or obnoxious. Calling this truck a project is too strong, this truck needs very minor things described above to be a great daily driver. Hard to find original type trucks these days, this was a good find. I have a clean clear WA state title in hand, in my name, matching VIN #’s. I have a shipping broker who has shipped dozens of vehicles for me in the lower 48, I will pass on his info to you, or work with your shipper. I do not require a deposit, but require full payment within 3 business days of closed auction via bank to bank wire to my US Bank business account or cashier’s check. I will take PayPal on this truck but you must pay the 3% additional to cover their fees. Title and truck do not leave my possession until paid in full, I 2 day mail you the papers. I welcome a 3rd party inspection during not after the auction. I’m a licensed auto appraiser and inspector, skip Auto Appraisals & Pre-Buy Inspections when looking in my area, I own that business. I’ve driven the truck 100 miles without issue, please don’t expect to fly in and drive this truck across the country. I’m very annoyed by sellers on eBay stating drive a vintage car across the US, be it a 3k or 100k car, usually unrealistic. Truck is sold as you see it, I don’t have any spare time to do additional work, thanks.
