My 57 Chevy is up for sale. Too many cars and not enough space. I purchased this car about 3 years ago. The car was converted from a 4 door to a 2 door. (Registered as a two door) The front door pillars were moved back 6 inches and the car has doors from a 55 2 door car. The body is fairly straight and wouldn't take too much to finish. The engine is a 250 straight six from a Chevelle. Runs great!! Took family on 200 mile trip at end of summer no problems. Gas mileage is great. Ive upgraded the front brakes to disc from Tom's Classic. New Gas tank and sending unit plus filler neck (above half tank there is a weep from new seal....I gave up on it so I always run about 5 gallons on fillup). New Windshield, Driveshaft, Rear wheel bearings/Seals, New tires (2013) New Wiper Arms/Blades. New ball joints plus front end alignment. Lights/blinkers all function. Speedometer is not hooked up. Original heater core missing. Blower works if you put power to it. Interior is beat up. I lost the car keys and now its on a toggle switch. The Trunk has an old saw blade I made to unlock for access. The passenger hood hinge is weak. The rear Trunk helper spring is broken so trunk feels heavy but opens and closes so ive left it alone. bottoms of doors have sheet metal patch. Car is a fun rat rod.....far from perfect but im not selling it for much....way less than I have into it. Everyone who has put money into a car knows this!On Nov-29-15 at 15:07:37 PST, seller added the following information: Some questions came up......I didn't mention the rear windows, they are plexi glass and do not roll up or down. Just for show. Previous owner made all conversion modifications to the 2 door.
