Vehicle Detail
68 Charger:This Charger is originally from the state of Washington (has a clear signed off title), was brought back east and to be restored. Been sitting since it was brought back, time to turn it loose and let someone get this car restored and looking good. As you see in the photos, the car is solid, same underneath, no rusted frame, no rusted shock mounts, car is as clean underneath as you see the body is. The doors shut like a new car. All glass is good except front windshield. Floor is solid except for a few minor repairs that need done, or if your a fust-buster, then you will probably replace them, the truck pan and gas tank does need replaced. All bumpers, front end, lower splash pan, front seats are with car. The backseat is not with the car. The rockers are solid, doors solid, quarters are solid, it appears the previous owner did drink and decided to leave the bar and touch a few guard rails when headed home. But......not rusted. This car still has the original blue paint, it was not painted or restored at anytime in the past. This car would be an easy restoration, I have three other projects I'm working on, one has to go ! It appears the person I bought it from put an RT grill in the car, the grill is in good shape except for the right side has a broken section, but can be purchased without buying the entire grill. The car has the original engine with A/C mounted. The engine is tight, this is why I'm selling a new rebuilt fresh engine with the car, here are the engine details. Motor:This engine is a 440. Block casting date is 4/1/77..ha (April Fool’s Day). Block has been cleaned and checked, bored and honed with new cam bearing and freeze plugs installed. This one is bored .060 over, which makes it a 452 cubic inch, crank is turned .010, mains .010 rods. It has reconditioned LY rods, reconditioned heads with hardened seats with NEW valve springs. Other NEW parts include: Comp cam 21-223-4, 280 duration, .480 lift Speed pro forged pistons & rings Chrome valve covers, timing cover, oil pan & air cleaner Mopar dual-plane aluminum intake Edelbrock 750 CFM manual- choke carb Electronic distributor cap and rotor Street Fire 8mm custom-fit plug wires MSD coil, thermostat, PCV valve and Champion spark plugs Water pump, fuel pump, alternator, and high-volume oil pump Rod & main bearings, all Fel Pro gaskets and sealsI changed it up a little bit on this one; rather than the Hemi Orange on this block, it is VHT Burnt Copper Metallic and then VHT clear coat. Cam break –in time is complete with additional 2 hours run time. This thing is ready to roll! Add headers or the original manifolds, starter, motor mounts, throttle bracket, cooling fan, power steering pump and you are ready to go. Timing and carb are set and ready. Please see video of engine running: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JbKLCN_Y8Nk This car is being sold as is, what you see is what I'm selling, car and new motor, yes the transmission and original drive train is still in the car. Any questions, please call or text me: 814-386-1665. Please note: If I receive a reasonable offer, I will end this auction sooner, but a deposit must be made within 24 hours. Happy bidding ! Please........................Serious buyers only. On Nov-24-15 at 15:03:04 PST, seller added the following information: I did forget to mention that due to water laying near the rear window, the panel below tge window should be replaced. The panel is available for less then $ 200.00. Trying to explain the car best and truthful. Thank you. On Nov-26-15 at 13:32:09 PST, seller added the following information: Update..... I been receiving calls on what I woukd take for the car and new motor. I have 6,000 in the car and paid over 8,000 for the engine. If I fet an offer close to this cost I have investedI I will sell it. The car is in better shape then most charges I have seen listed and the engine is not a bbackyard built engine, it was professional built and the builder puts hiis pride in his work. The comment that stuck with me during our conversation was " when I build an engine, it is built to start evertime I expect it to without working or tuning it". That sold me to pay what I did for the engine. Thank you.
