This is a real SS. The engine numbers do not match the car. However, it is a special 396 L78 375HP, 4-bolt main from a 69 Nova. It runs strong. Great options on this Chevelle SS from the factory: tinted windows, air conditioning, 4spd w/console, and rear quarter antenna. New BF Goodrich Radial TAs on all four corners. 12 bolt. Cowl:11E 22716613817KAN3021712B N-NW 2KLGS The car is still a project, but its has some good things added: front disc brakes from SSBC with slotted and drilled rotors. New Eibach springs front and back, new tubular A-arms, and PMT boxed control arms in the rear. New shocks. Tremec 5-speed transmission. There are rust areas in the floorpans and truck pan. The new transmission came with a new tunnel, which is riveted in place. At some point, some fiberglass was installed instead of sheet metal patching. Car runs and drives, it is insured. I take it on the highway with no problems. I have the clear Texas title in hand. I have the car listed locally as well.
