Purchased in Nebraska, where the car was resting since the 70's. The car is very solid copared to what you find for these cars. Trunk and floors are solid, minor rust only. Rocker panels had skip on covers, and they are completely rusted out- I have patch panels for rockers, they go with the car. Center plate under steer column is rusted- I have patch panel. Car is amazingly staright, seeming to have no collision damage, and original paint! Pink top over pale yellow. The hood was jacked from forcing rusted hinges. We replaced with a pink hood. Needs letters. Car was disassembled to paint. Paint deal fell through, so its loosely put back together for transport. Bumpers still off, but we can rehang. The car was complete, with exception of one piece of trim around the back glass. Has a broken deck lid hinge. All glass is good except windshield is cracked. Window regulators operate well. Doors close nicely and line up well. I think there is a broken leaf spring and the rear end growls, will need repair. The 354 Poly Head Spitfire engine has a bad main bearing. NO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION WITH CAR AT AUCTION BID/SELL PRICE. Engine and transmission are offered separately to winning bidder of car body. Engine has been rebuilt with 392 pistons and 1956 HEMI HEADS. Will provide more details and pics of engine. Additional price $6000. Transmission and Torque Converter have been rebuilt by Don's Transmissions, Denver, CO at cost of $2250. Will sell with car at build cost if you buy car and engine.
