A 1968 Dodge Coronet Hardtop 500 Big Block 383 4BBL High Performance Purchased New in 1968 at Beach City Dodge in Huntingtin Beach, California. The original owners, husband & wife kept the Coronet 500 all original & was always garaged up until 1998. It was then passed down to there son (seen in the video above) & there grandchildren drove it thru High School-College. Only has 136,764 Actual Miles. Never was taken out of state, always been a local car. Built & spent its entire life in Los Angeles. Remains its original Black Plates & is a excellent example of a True California Mopar. Original Numbers Matching 383 High Performance 4BBL (H Code) with the original 727 Automatic transmission. Factory options include Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Air Conditioning & Bucket Seats/Console. A excellent example of a unrestored car. Factory Gold with Black vinyl interior & a black vinyl top. Remains all original body panels & undercarriage. Never has been in a accident or taken apart. Has had one older repaint but the jambs are original the paint. Very straight body, original floors & trunk compartment. Very solid body but lower passenger quarter has a small amount of rust. The vinyl top was recently replaced & it was in very good condition, especially around the windows (I do have before photos). Original warranty decal still in the driver door jamb. The interior is very original & in great condition for its age. The interior was never restored, original headliner, steering wheel & carpet. The original owner son in 98', replaced the 2 front bucket seats for a more modern seat so his daughter can drive & be safe. He also replaced the radio with a CD player, no speaker holes. The original buckets was misplaced I was told. The original Big Block 383 is in running & driving condition. Runs smoothly & still has plenty of power. All original under the hood, paint as well. Front Disc brakes stop just fine, tight steering. Doesn't drive all over the road. Handles as a well taken care of Mopar. Would make a great driver for someone.
