This is an unmolested 1984 Beemer that runs extremely well.. This was a barn find that had been sitting for quite a few years. I trailered the bike home and attempted to get it runnng. After the usual fluid changes and carb rebuilds , the R80 motor fired up and ran like a clock. The bike was completely serviced, including new fork seals, NGK plugs and wires, all fluids etc.. The original tool kit (see pix below) appears to have never been opened. It looks new. The tool bin is also pristine. I rode the bike a few times, but am short on storage space., so the bike is ready for a new owner. The main body part ( tank, tail cone and battery covers ) look in very nice condition. See the pix below. The fairing has multiple scratches from poor storage and possibly falling over or being pushed to close to other machinery. There is no evidence of the bike ever being dropped as there are no other locations where there are scratches. The handlebars and frame have light corrosion in areas from the long term storage. The odo show 40,800 miles but is imop at this time. Tach and speedo work as they should. This is quite common for this vintage. There are many hi res photos below. This bike starts right up, purrs like an R80/7 motor does when properly tuned, stops well and shifts perfectly. This has to be one of the smoothest R80's I have riden.
