Vehicle Detail

1978 Camaro Z28 17,000 original miles on the OdometerI recently purchased this beautiful Camaro from it's original owner, I copied the 1978 Calif. title he gave me for proof. The car originally came from California and was then brought to Las Vegas in 1992. The car was then put up on jack stands in a enclosed garage under blankets and was never registered by him in Nevada. The engine was run at regular intervals to keep everything working as it should. The car has original paint except for some paint blow in on the bumpers. The body is extremely straight, it has one 1/4 inch scratch on the hood. Also in the photos you will see on the passenger side behind the rear tire some paint wear. The wheels are original. The interior is in great condition and really shows the cars originality. As you can see in the photos, the under dash air vent from the drivers side is in the trunk. It looks like one of the tabs is broken, there is also an aftermarket stereo. The top of the dash on the passenger side is a little warped from the heat, very typical on Camaros here in the west. As it is a California/Nevada car with such low miles there is no rust (see car pan photo), no squeaks or rattles. The doors have no sag from non use and close as new. Check photos for build sheet info also included. The original owner changed the gas tank, and the car has a replacement radiator .The original radiator and hose clamps are included in the sale. He also added an interior hood release, and trunk light, both easily reversible, also changed are the locks on the doors because of a stolen key. The AC compressor doesn't kick on, I would guess it needs to be recharged. The lights and gauges and electric windows all work, as do the wipers. The car does drive beautifully, and the transmission shifts as new. The engine does seem to have a slight miss, but since I am not a mechanic and wish to keep the car as original as possible I am selling it as is. In my opinion the car just needs to be driven. I have others who have seen the car think I am being way to hard on it, but I am a perfectionist as I am sure this description shows. The owner also swapped out the rear end gears for something better on the hwy. The original gears will be included, but the speedo runs approx. 20% slow, Oh and the clock doesn't work. I have been brutally honest describing the car, it really is a beautiful 37 year old Camaro, in Excellent survivor condition, and you would be proud to take it to any show. If you get the chance, come see the car for yourself as the pictures don't do it justice. The only reason I am selling it, is that a car that I have been chasing for almost twenty years became available and I need the space. The reserve and the Buy it Now price have been set low for a car of this quality for that reason. Thank you for your consideration.
