This is 2004 VW GTI, with 1.8 turbo 4-cyl. engine and manual 5-speed transmission. The car starts and runs but has an engine problem: cylinder #1 has no compression, most likely due to piston or ring damage in cylinder #1. The other 3 cylinders have normal compression in the range of 135-150psi. AC, sunroof, door locks, power window/mirrors, lights, radio, ect. function as they supposed to. This car has Stage-I chipped ECU, which increases turbo boost to up to 16psi, and provides 215hp/247lb-ft (stock engine is 180hp/173lb-ft). This upgrade is about $600 value. (see the picture of dash instruments at night, this was taken when engine worked fine, with the damaged piston, however, the boost is leaking out through cylinder #1) A new OEM-equivalent clutch was installed about two years ago at 95k miles. Includes the VW OEM roof racks ($300 value). Includes 600W amplifier and 1000W sub woofer ($450 value).Includes Iphone-4 ISimple integration (via CD changer port), I will also include used 64GB Iphone 4 which can be used as a Ipod. The front tires are practically new, the rear are about 40% thread left. The car has some insignificant damage to the front bumper and scratch on the rear left quarter next to the window (see pictures). Otherwise the body and interior are in good shape free from rust or stains. The oil change was done always on time, only Mobile-1 full synthetic oil was used.If I don’t sell this car for reasonable price I will start fixing it myself, I know there is still a lot of potential in this machine.Feel free to email me with questions.
