Mileage is accurate today but approx. as I may drive a few miles per week. That is not a dent in the fender just reflections in picture. I will stop driving it as soon as I get the first bid. Sold AS IS and I will start it up but no test drive before final payment in hand. If sold in California I need a day or more to get it re-smogged. Current certificate was obtained in June and Cal requires cert to be less then 90 days old. I bought this new from a friend working at the local Chevrolet dealer in Massachusetts in 1979 so it has Rusty Jones rust treatment. I drove it to California in 1981 and has been well maintained since. Smog certificate renewed in June and I am driving it locally. I would not recommend driving high speed freeway. Sold As Is for parts or restoration. Trailer it to move it would be prudent. I had a small freeway front end accident in 1982 so hood, grill lights etcetera were replaced at that time. Hood needs new springs but opens and closes. Hard to align front end but not impossible. I purchased it without the rear passenger removable bench seat but the mounting brackets are in the floor. Front passenger seat hinges forward to allow access to rear. I believe the 305 CID V-8 was the smallest V-8 at that time (there was a gas crisis then!) Has a 2 BBL carburetor which as been rebuilt recently. I haven't checked but mileage was and is approx. 10 mpg. Engine was rebuilt once and same block reinstalled and transmission rebuilt once in the past. Repainted in the original GM Blue color but now clear coat and more wearing off hood rear etc. Maybe bondo in the driver side door and paint is peeling (see picture) Bumpers and wheels always white. I only had it off the road once when new in the sand dunes of Cape Cod. A friend had a custom Van business and his workers installed an after market conversion kit which allowed the full time 4WD to be 2WD as well. Thru the floor shifter can switch between 2WD and 4WD and the front wheels have to be locked or freewheel. The fiberglass rear top is bolt removable but I only had it off once. Has new heater fan, NEW REBUILT power brake assist tank YESTERDAY 10-16-15, recent battery, new non GM parts radiator. Newish air duct to carboreuter, Replaced with used heater slide assembly. Recent muffler and partial pipes. I believe this is front disk brakes and rear drum brakes. 4 Newish tires approx same size as original - I ordered with street tires LR78-15 and still running equivalent. Radio is not original and speakers not much so sound replacement recommended. Dash top cracked (see pictures) Rubber matting was replaced with GM OEM once front and rear but front now has a crack and may no longer be avail from GM. The driver's side seat was reupholstered once in the original GM vinyl material I happened to find in an old Los Angeles seat repair shop. Both seats I have covered in towel material for many many years. The plastic hinged glove box was replaced with an OEM box I found at a dealer online approx. last year. The same with the center horn cover. The aftermarket alarm system installed in 1979 is Crimestopper brand maybe still in business but does not support this one. The center push button mechanically locks the hood and electronically wired in to kill the ignition. Is not functioning properly as push button gets stuck and I had to hammer side of it to release - needs work or replacement. Driver's side seat belt works is worn some and wrapped around -needs to be unwound in place or removed to straighten it. Since the the late 1980's I always had another vehicle so this truck was only driven 1000 to 2000 miles per year for a long time. Cigarette lighter works! recent new distributor cap wires and plugs, rear crank window lock replaced, comes with original jack and crank handle, missing interior light cover white plastics, missing the small rear door rubber close bumpers, various small rust spots ext. int., rear license plate bulb needs replace, dry underneath but various fluid oozes at gaskets, if sits for awhile gas needs to be pumped to start, recent brake pads. Has old wheel locks, spare tire lock and locking gas cap. If I think of anything I will add to this description later or if you have questions please ask or I can send more pictures upon request.
