Vehicle Detail

If you’re looking for an unmolested Mustang that you can simply drive & enjoy, this is the one for you. Out of 607,568 Mustangs produced in 1966, only 21,397 were made with a Bench Seat (that included the center arm rest). Born in Dearborn Michigan on July 18, 1966 and then shipped to the New York District with 200 CI 120 Hp 6 Cylinder, 3 Speed Automatic, she rolled off the assembly line with Burgundy paint & black interior just as you see it here. Restoration was about 14-15 years ago, and has been garaged & covered in the garage ever since. Current millage is 6,XXX miles since restoration. This is not a trailer queen, she has even been driven from Boston in good weather to car shows as far away as Hershey PA and drove & performed flawlessly. This vehicle is not drive in the winter with salt or sand on the road, and it reflects that pampering. You would be very hard pressed to find another in just this good a condition at this starting price point. The great:This mustang looks like it’s about a year or two old. The Chrome inside & out looks fantastic. The standard upholstery, carpet, Door panels, headliner, vinyl roof & paint were replaced at restoration, and still look & shine like new. No cracks in the dash pad it’s new too at restoration. Windows roll up doors lock as they should. Everything in the instrument cluster works. Comes with a set of standard factory wheel covers, as well as a set of year correct (notice the blue centers) wire wheel covers that I understand are not reproductions. Only three after market changes that I can see: 1) AM/FM cassette “Mustang” Radio from custom Autosound was already installed when I purchased the mustang. 2) Just added Petronix Electronic Ignition – Never Change Points Again! 3) The seat belts buckles & webbing looked like they were replaced during restoration (webbing and buckles were new, but did not look factory correct. The front seat belts were replaced with the factory correct black buckles with silver center push button. The Cowel was replaced during restoration and does not leak! The heat & defroster works too. The leaf springs & back shocks were replaced with brand new ones last year (factory correct leaf springs), amazingly clean rust free undercarriage. Includes a three ring binder with restoration photos and it’s documentation. Tune ups& fresh fluids each spring, and last year the radiator was flushed. Gladly photograph any specific section you like upon request. Whenever I’ve put this in the shop for maintenance, the place comes to a standstill when it’s put on the lift as every worker has to stop and come marvel at the condition of this vehicle. Desclosures:Just like from the factory, it has standard breaks and steering but turns and stops with ease. There is some play in the steering box, but this vehicle has repeatedly passed MA inspection every year and has a current inspection sticker and is driven to car shows. There is a small dent on the hood about the size of a dime next to the letter “F” (that spells out Ford), caused by the previous owner. I suspect something fell on it in the garage of the previous owner. A dent Dr. should be able to get it out; it’s hardly noticeable to the point where I always forgot to have it looked at. The left rear quarter panel by the wheel well has a small bubble blemish but does not photograph. Right rear qtr panel by the tail light has a small scratch that does show up in a photo. Paint below rear gas cap shows some wear; I’d suspect the previous owner may have overfilled the gas and it ran onto the paint between the cap and bumper. I’m thinking the passenger side mirror was put on after the car was purchased, as a 2nd mirror would have been part of a visibility package with other options this car does not have. Starting bid is below NADA average condition, and this vehicle is way above anything average you’ve ever seen. Comparative Mustangs in much lesser condition at last week’s Hershey Region AACA Fall Meet were selling for much higher prices. You won’t be disappointed with this exceptional “driver condition” gem. Clear title in hand. Shipping:Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. Typical terms of sale, sold with no warranty or returns. Cash is king, but if it’s a certified bank check or wired funds, it must clear before we release the vehicle. We’re on the up and up, you be too.
