2006 LR3 “SD7” 142K Original Miles No Reserve! Overview: This is the LR3 to drop everything and RUN TO! It has always been enthusiast owned and cared for under family ownership with class and reliability in mind. This fantastic example of what an LR3 is all about comes to sale ONLY because its owner, a friend and colleague of mine, has recently passed away. His garage is full of toys, and this was his spare no expense family get-away vehicle. Service History: A great many things have been done in the recent care of this truck. Again, it was always to be a RELIABLE performing family vehicle. As a Land Rover technician I can vouch for how stout she truly is around town and on the highway but I will elaborate on finish and function shortly. Operation and Performance: Open with perfectly working factory remote operation. Once inside, she fires right up and purrs at idle with swiss-watch precision. She runs and drives like new and with selectable terrain response, she can take whatever you have in store for her. In the past, where driver input was necessary to 4x4 prowess, this system is a point and shoot method that can even let grandma crest the sierra’s and cross the desert without even blinking an eye. Outside of its driving performance, everything else works as you would hope – ice cold AC, fantastic heat, all power seats, windows, blinkers, lights, etc work great. There are no warning lights on the dash. She is a 7 seater! With the best rear seating that Land Rover has ever manufactured. Correct seating position for ALL passengers and with optional rear-air-conditioning fitted on this truck all passengers enjoy climate control. Also to its credit, she is a non-sunroof model which will protect you and your passengers from the sun – and also be maintenance and leak free forever! The air suspension works perfect with absolutely no leak-down. Operation is fast and quiet. Please see the 1st 3 pictures of access, standard, and off-road height. Keeping pace with its SE and HSE brethren, this truck has been fitted with a top of the line infotainment system that, in my opinion, is MORE intuitive and better functioning than the OEM equipment. This truck will have absolutely everything you want in it – in the most economical version available. The V6 is infinitely more efficient than its fuel thirsty V8 sibling.The only feature that doesn't work is cruise control. Aesthetics, Chassis & Coachwork: The Chawton White exterior is nearly flawless with only minimal to non existent parking lot variety dings. If you pay attention to the lasting value in certain Discovery models of the earlier generation, the top dollar – after 20 years on – always go to the White, non-sunroof, 7 seaters. This truck is a very wise investment. The Alpaca interior is also as nice as you would hope. All seating surfaces are clean and soft, and the rugs and flooring are still soft and clean to the touch. All door jambs, seams, and panels are sparkling clean. The engine is leak free and as about as show-room ready as you can get.Typical to the vintage the only signs of wear that stand out to me are on the drivers armrest where elbows have sought refuge for the last 8 years as well as to the RH upper portion of the dash where there is cracking around the airbag seams. There are more cubbies, cupholders, pockets, cavities and so on than you could ever imagine – insuring comfort and order no matter what your family can bring to the table. Finally, a testament to its care and preservation is the complete factory owners literature packet and ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER!!! Purchasing, Perspective & Why Buy From Me: Please read my outstanding feedback from folks like you! No one puts a Land Rover together better than me, PERIOD. It’s the vehicle I drive, and the vehicle I RACE. Nearly two decades of Rover ownership and service are poured into every Rover that I see into new hands. All too common are sales from the brokerage houses where a vehicle will receive a detail service and nothing else. Leaving maintenance work for the pleasure of the new owner; often time’s immediately following reception of the vehicle. Beware of any vintage Rover that does not share the same service points as the ones I advertise with my trucks. They are ESSENTIAL for long term reliability and any Rover without these services are ticking time bombs. I am not a Land Rover tech that drives home in a Honda Civic. I come from a long line of British Car technicians and Live, Breathe and even RACE the green oval. I understand ALL of your concerns and needs and do my best to ensure that you will be happy based on a simple, yet powerful concept: DOES THIS VEHICLE MAKE ME HAPPY? WOULD I PUT MY WIFE AND BABY IN IT? WOULD I LOVE TO HAVE IT? The answer is always yes. And that’s when I know they are ready. I care. I know you do, too. Vehicles that I see off not only have domestic endpoints, they go to the farthest reaches of the planet. They have gone to Europe, Asia, The South Pacific, Central America and currently, a client recently purchased a trail-ready 88 RRC and is en route to Tierra Del Fuego after I picked him up in the vehicle at LAX when he flew in to receive it! The point here is, I believe in each and every vehicle that I usher in to new ownership. When you browse the feedback from my recent vehicle sales, I’m sure you’ll be impressed. I have A LOT of copy-cats out there. If you aren’t buying one from me… its, well, NOT from me even though other sellers go so far as to “cut-n-paste” my listings!!! While these vehicles are all totally looked after, they are not immune to future service needs and flaws. They are used vehicles and normal flaws and wear should be expected as the vast majority of them are pushing 20+ years old. It is not possible to discuss every nut and bolt, but I have done my best to list and discuss what would matter to ME. Let me know what matters TO YOU. This particular truck is a GEM. It has MINOR to nonexistent surface blemishes and wear. While she may soon be “new to you” she is “not new” and you should be prepared for all that is involved with owning a used vehicle.
