He bought this one from Wichita’s Johnnie Eagle Chevrolet (long since gone). In 1968 while in another state he burned two pistons and had those repaired, the only major engine work the car has ever had. In 1986 the car was repainted back to the original factory color. At some time in its history the car has had the cars seat inserted with a velour type pleated fabric. This Marine, now in his late 70’s has taken excellent care of this car and obviously garaged it and has driven it very little in recent years. In fact, he told me that he had it tuned up about 25 years ago, the last time he had any work other than servicing done on the car. Recently, his daughter told her Marine dad that she wished he would go ahead and sell the car so that she wouldn’t have to mess with it later on. This is your chance to own a true One Owner very original and well cared for true American classic. . We have included photos of the cars most obvious flaws, including rust blisters under the paint in the door corners, and, the rear braces in front of both rear wheel are rusted. Otherwise, the car looks solid with no rust problems. The floorboards also look solid. The car starts, runs and drives out good. The carburetor needs some work as it tends to load up and flood and the steering and suspension are probably all original and are loose.
