Vehicle Detail

1969 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE! RARE 351 VEHICLE! UNIQUE T-CODE RED EXTERIOR WITH MEDIUM RED INTERIOR! EXCELLENT RESTORATION CANDIDATE! REASONABLY PRICED! QUALITY INVESTMENT! OVER $1000 WORTH OF ADDITIONAL PARTS INCLUDED WITH THE SALE OF THE VEHICLE! EXCELLENT WINTER / FALL PROJECT! Ok. I will try to be brief regarding this little Mustang but I must say first that this car is the perfect candidate for taking to the next level! I love this pony but with so many other projects going I don't have time to give proper attention to it right now. This Mustang is not only Rare it is a easy restoration project! The production numbers on the 1969 Convertible Mustang are already quite low , however when you add the fact that this particular vehicle also has the higher horse power 351 Engine with red exterior/ red interior she extremely collectible! This wonderful pony car is a two owner vehicle! The car was originally purchased in the South but made its way to Wisconsin in the early 90's. There is a lot that can be said about this car but, I will concentrate on relaying the pertinent information regarding it. First the car was designated (T-Code Red) one of the best colors in 1969 for the Mustang! The current paint on the car is actually not bad. The paint & body both are in good condition. The exterior color is still intact & still shines when washed. It is best to be considered a driver quality. The Body panels are also actually in pretty good condition also! As you survey the body of this pony you will find that this car is pretty impressive for its age! The fenders, doors, hood, trunk & quarters are uniform and again should be considered driver quality as well.....that being said you will still find a nick, scratch or paint chip around the circumference of the vehicle. By all accountants I am considered a perfectionist by most so I would say that the potential owner may be even a little happier than I am with the cars overall exterior. Shelby side scoops have been added to this pony to add yet more appeal. This pony has the optional upgraded power top! The convertible top is still in place and the canvas actually is in pretty good condition. That being said I would replace it. The rear convertible window is not zipped up so the canvas is exposed. This convertible would be stunning with a new white top & that was my plans for it. I have the factory convertible boot cover which comes along with the sale (in great shape). see pictures As you continue the inspection of this Mustang you will find one of my favorite items regarding it "The 351 Windsor power plant"! The 1969 Mustang Convertible is already a low production vehicle. However when given the fact that most of the convertible cars left the factory with either the 6 cyl motor or the pedestrian 302 engine block ....the 351 Convertible cars are becoming very collectible! The 351 power plant was basically geared for more of the street performance models. The Mach 1 cars were mostly slated to have these motors installed upon leaving the factory however as previously mentioned a few convertibles received the coveted block as well. As a matter of fact in there was no engine offered 1969 the Mach 1 smaller than the 351 Windsor. Getting back to this Mustang: The block in this pony runs extremely strong! That being said I had the fuel line recently disconnected as I planned on having a new gas tank installed. I actually have the new tank & it will be included with the sale of the vehicle. The old tank has fuel in it that sat for some time so changing that tank would be the right thing to do in my opinion. As a matter of fact there is a laundry list of parts that are included with this sale of this Mustang! Some are as follow but not limited to: plugs, wires, cap, rotor, upper & lower radiator hoses, shocks, carburertor repair kit, belts, parking cable, fuel pump, wheel cylinders (all), hydraulic hoses (all), drum brake self adjuster kit, shocks (all), wheel seal, drums, and to much more too list! I even went as fair to purchase a spank brand new radiator for the car! All included with the sale of the vehicle!!! This Mustang is a great car to tinker around with before fall sets in or over the winter months. The good news is that purchasing this car should be considered a no brainer (especially at my reserve price)! Nicely restored 351 H and M Code convertibles are selling for mid to upper $20k consistently! Finally as with many Mustang this car has some rust underneath. There is some rust associated with the floors, one torque box and a few other structural components. Please bid with this in mind. I have a reserve that is more than fair for the car so there should be plenty of funds left to do the desired work to the car. Now let me be clear! This pony was in the stable for quite some time so she will need to be placed on a trailer or shipped to make it to her next destination. As mentioned earlier the fuel line was removed & the brakes will need work (all parts included). Furthermore.....Please understand.....I have no time to play games! I really love this car & if time permitted it would not be for sale. I am listing this car with an extremely reasonable reserve. As always inspections are welcome. Now the car is officially for sale & I encourage the serious buyer to contact me! The car will also be for sale locally so the auction may end at any time. This car would make a great investment for the individual who would like to work a project that they can enjoy while driving with little effort! Questions ...? Seriously interested...? Call 314-497-9470 There is an immediate non refundable $500 deposit due at the end of the auction. Balance is due within 48 hrs. Thanks & God Bless
