This is a NO RESERVE auction for a very nice 1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III, that is now like the rare smooth top version. This car originally came with a padded vinyl roof covering from the factory. During the restoration the owner decided he like the look without the vinyl top. This Mark III gets a lot of attention, it was restored over a 4 year period and was painted a spectacular deep red metallic. I tried to show the brilliance of the paint in the pictures but they do not do it justice. The car was disassembled and painted with the body staying on the frame. It is a complete paint job, there is no hint of the previous color which was a light green metallic color. This Mark III started out as a nice rust free car before the restoration process. After the car was completely stripped of paint the panels were smoothed, painted, color sanded and buffed. The finish on this car is like glass! You can see reflections of everything in the paint. While the body was in the paint process the bumpers were rechromed and the engine and transmission were both rebuilt. Everything on this car works except for the clock and the A/C, it needs a charge. The interior is in fantastic original condition with its dual power seats, power windows and locks. This Lincoln just received a new set of Michelin tires and a new fuel sending unit. The car is nice underneath too. Most of the original undercoating is still on it, no rust or rot anywhere. This incredible car has uncountable hours and materials in it, worth way more than the cars current market value.
