Vehicle Detail
Summary: Vehicle is wrecked from rear-end collision and very slight side swipe on passenger side (I took pictures of all the damages, inside and outside). This car is a high performance vehicle that corners like a beast and despite 140K + miles, the motor still pulls hard. More than once I've cleared out my arteries by pushing my foot down to the floor boards, turned in hard while hitting a loop entrance to the Florida TPK, and enjoyed the squeal of rubber struggling against the asphalt for grip...and no matter how hard I push, the car just wants to push harder and corner faster. These 2001 Cobra's really are something special and the guys at Watson Racing (responsible for the Boss 302 of a few years ago, the new GT 350, and some other special projects) they are still one of the fastest, best cornering, and toughest built Mustangs Ford's SVT crew ever engineered. Even today just the block in this thing is worth $2,000 with all the miles. Details/Condition: Motor still runs great and had oil changes at a 3,000 mile max, but I tried most often to change @ 2,000 milesI'm the third owner technically, but my Dad owned the car while we both drove it and took care of it together because we lived together. Before that, the car was kept in a garage and was sold from original buyer to my Dad...And they both kept meticulous records of all services, from tires, oil changes, and all repairs. The clutch is fairly new 12,000 or so miles on it, but it needs either a pressure plate or throw-out bearing (as per mechanics opinion). The car has polished rims, an added option for Cobra's...Plus, a Cobra R hood to give it an aggressive look. Shipping and/or Pickup: Shipping must be arranged by the buyer. I sold the tires to a friend and put the cheapest thing I could find that fit and they have little to no tread whatsoever. The vehicle does not pull, and tracks straight under braking, but if you plan on driving it home I would advise against it unless you live close to Miami. Payment: I will need $300 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of winning bid or buy it now purchase. The remainder can be paid through PayPal, but I would prefer to take cash upon pickup, a cashier's check or money order once delivery is arranged. No personal checks!
