I ve gone over the entire truck with a paint thickness meter and can tell you that from the bed forward and the tailgate itself are wearing its original paint. The bedsides from the stripes up have been repainted as the readings are higher on the meter. The car fax report shows its only accident occurring 1995 so that is when the paint was done on the bed. Must have been scratched or very minor because I can t determine any area of repair. Truck has been stored in my neighbors garage and driven only 2000 miles since he bought it in 2001. Underside shows some surface moisture scale from being parked over a concrete garage floor for the past 14 years. I ve driven it 246 miles since Monday with the top down and the cruise set on 70 mph and its runs and drives great. AC needs attention as it is not very cold. Pretty rare truck as I m 60 and been a dealer for 25 years and it is the first one I ve encountered.
