Vehicle Detail

If you want to own a classic Mach 1 Mustang that you can actually drive, this is it! I have a Marti report in hand, email me and I will forward it to you Reason for selling:I am going to go ahead and be upfront with you about my reason for selling the car. I have recently moved to the coast and would really like to buy a boat. My wife says that I can only have one expensive toy so, I have decided to sell this amazing car and buy the boat that I want. Pros:Vehicle runs great! Engine is solid and idles very well, recently rebuilt the transmission and carburetors. A very solid body with very little surface rust on the shell and a very solid frame. The engine is a 351 Cleveland that was installed to replace the 351 Windsor by the original owner, he wanted more HP and he got it with the 351C! Will also send the 4 speed Transmission and original rear wheels with the car. Has very unique taillights that are eye catching especially at night. Installed a new fuel tank, new fuel gauge sending unit, new speedo sending unit, and a new temperature gauge. The interior is in very good shape with almost no cosmetic problems. The exhaust is straight piped, and engine rumble is one of the most visceral sounds I have ever heard. Has always been Garage kept and cleaned, and recently installed a brand new battery. Cons:This is not a gold badge winning show car(not saying you cannot take it to car shows which I have done), this is a car you can drive and look great in instead of leaving in the garage to only be brought out on a silver platter. The paint job is acceptable but old and will need to be repainted eventually if you want it show car quality. The back rear corner was pushed in 1/8" before I bought it and will need touch up, clutch is very stiff(they call it a muscle car for a reason) and if you want an easy driver you will have to replacing the existing wire clutch with a newer style hydraulic clutch. The passenger side window will need some work on its cranking unit and there is a small gap on the back side of the passenger window where some new trim needs to be installed.. The A/C works but slowly(1969 levels of A/C) and the heating works very well. All in all whoever buys this car is getting a very solid car that most of the bugs have been fixed at my expense. Could you make it into an amazing showroom quality car with a little money and elbow grease? Sure, or you could do absolutely nothing and it would still look great, drive great, and sound like nothing else in this world(seriously I am going to try and post a video with the sound of the engine running, the rumble alone should be listed as testosterone replacement therapy).
