Vehicle Detail

1947 WILLYS JEEP CJ2A 119764 on frame and body tags, engine number J124576A with blank oval spot under the oil filter, which makes it a Willys buy back motor. The PO stated it was the original engine to the jeep. It came from a small west Texas town, population 1400 or so, it spent most of it's life at the fire department as a run about with a small water tank for small grass fires. These small fire department vehicles were used very little and usually got the best of care and this one shows it. In 2009 a town paramedic bought it and started restoring. Almost everything has been rebuilt in the past few years. It has some extra holes where brackets were bolted on and two holes in front floor boards for extra drain holes, and some heater line holes (no heater). I have not been able to find any rust on frame or body, other than small surface rust, the body has small character dings. It is the most unmolested, solid, best shape, smoothest and quietest running and driving CJ2A that I have ever had. An ideal candidate for total restoration or great to use and play with just as is. Frame is in great condition, original front bumper and frame horns, only modifications I can fine, are at the rear, it had angle iron (cut off) run through rear brace for water tank bracing and brackets for extra coil springs (coil springs removed). The engine was completely rebuild with all new parts, only used parts were the block, crank and cam shafts, (it now purrs like a kitten), was sleeved and bored to standard, installed hardened valve seats (can use unleaded gas), pull choke out, hit started button and it fires right up, it has original Carter WO carb with brass tag, original oil bath breather, crossover tube, carb horn, changed to 12 volt electrics with alternator, new heavy duty wiring, all bulbs were changed to 12 volt, 12 volt siren (under hood). Transmission and transfercase shift levers are tight, smooth and shift perfect, (it does need transfercase seals, transfercase and transmission seal kits included), all new brakes system, shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, rubber lines, (they stop on a dime and give you 9 cents change), original radiator (excellent condition) with new cap, new steel gas tank with sending unit, new springs and shackles, new exhaust running out the rear, new axle bearings both axles, new Super Winch front lockout hubs, original front bumper and bumper gussets, frame horns are excellent, 4 new shocks, original grill bug screen, (excellent condition) original front seat frames with original seat and back springs (excellent condition) with original padding, (needs covers) all new gauges and speedo, new after market horn working from original steering column wiring, all lights work, including dash light and red high beam indicator, two LED tail/stop lights, 12 volt plug for spot light, four new Hankook DaynoPro MT 2:15 x 85 x 16 inch 10 ply tires on spoke wheels, original steering wheel (some small cracks) some of the steering units were rebuilt (very little play), steers great, it has military style dual manual windshield wipers and military style hood blocks. It needs: seat cushions, hood straighten (two many times being set on), transfercase seals, (seal kits included, drips underneath), spare tire and wheel, (rack included but not installed). I have a ton of photos to send and will take more of any area you may want. There is no warranty expressed or implied, fast closing of the deal will be appreciated as I have surgery scheduled with unknown outcome, thanks, Earl On Aug-13-15 at 18:24:24 PDT, seller added the following information: US and international shipping can be arranged by Mardy at: mardy@horizonautoshipping.com I have used her for shipping these old jeeps for almost 20 years with never a problem.
